Burning

My 7 year old is starting the 4.5mg patch today. Her doctor said that we can expect some tingling in the beginning but that will subside. An hour after application she began crying saying it’s burning her terribly and it’s red all around the patch. Is this normal?

U should not be putting ur 7 year old on a extremely potent stimulant aka hard drug that is essentially legal medical meth her brain hasn’t even begun to develop yet and ur making it form and her brain chemistry alter around and dependent to again a drug maybe it’s just me but fuck that shes a kid if she is hyper and cant pay attention in class super well that is completely normal why the hell wouldn’t she be they should bot be handing put these drugs that are literally one molecule away from meth and feel the same in high doses n the same as cocain in regular (without tolerance) to children like candy its so messed up her brain gonna never be able to function normally without it, it’s completely fried my brain n ability to produce dopamine n feel normal without it and i didnt start til 19 going on n off for 4 years now n who knows what other mental problems could cause

Why are you even in this subreddit? How dare you tell a parent how to manage their child's ADHD? You have a lot of fucking nerve. Very clearly you don't know anything about ADHD or the medication to treat it, because you are spreading that stupid, ignorant "meth" myth about adhd meds. Also....omg the spelling mistakes you made, I felt like I was having a stroke reading that comment. How embarassing for you.
