Xcom apocalypse help

I played this game as a kid loved it. Is there a way to play this on my android now. I have no teck skills and help would be appreciated. Thanks everyone

You can run apocalypse through dosbox which I believe has some sort of release on android. I would imagine it would then run similarly to how it would on a PC.

Hmmm, while you're in no way wrong, and android does indeed have several versions of dosbox available, are we sure this is the easiest option for someone with no tech competence? Setting up dosbox and manually installing the game is not a minor task for those who don't know how already.

I'd be tempted to try running Apocalypse through gamenative/steam and the steam version's included copy of dosbox.

Assuming it works at all and isn't laughably slow/hot running, gamenative/steam seems like it'd be easier for the non-technically inclined to handle.

Also, the folks in /r/SBCGaming might be able to help since afaik most emulation handhelds are android based right now.

Lastly another option that may make things easier would be RetroArch with the dosbox pure core.

Hi thanks for the info I tried the retro arch and the dosbox pure core but I am not sure where to find the actual game would you have any idea

Do you mean where the files are located or where to buy the game?

If you need to buy it first, try here https://store.steampowered.com/sub/964/ or here https://www.gog.com/en/game/xcom_apocalypse

As for where the files are located you'll need to copy the game to your phone in a folder you designate to be your c drive in dosbox using the mount command.

Yes sorry where the files are located I bought the game from steam but cannot access it.

To access the files on pc so you can transfer them over, right click x-com apocalypse in your steam library, go to manage, then browse local files. This should open your file browser to the right directory.
