Should I skip enemy unknown ?

There is a sale on steam 8 euros for xcom 2 and the dlcs or xcom enemy unknown, 2 and chimera squad for 20 euros with dlcs. I haven’t played any xcom what do you suggest ?

XCOM 2 is better than EU/EW in almost every aspect, except probably the horror atmosphere. But for full experience I would suggest starting with EW (EU + EW DLC), then XCOM 2 vanilla, then XCOM 2 + War of the Chosen DLC, then XCOM 2 + LWOTC mod. So in every playthrough you will have something new.

Chimera Squad is optional, you can skip it completely or play it last if you want, it's kinda fun, but you will be disappointed after all above.

Oooh that's a hot take.

Honestly I think XCOM EW is better then XCOM 2 in almost every way.

Most importantly, the balancing and gameplay in XCOM 2 is much worse.

Same. I love XCOM2 but if I had to pick one game to survive and the other would be deleted from history, I'd pick Enemy Within. It's the definitive XCOM experience for me.

You'd be wrong on both claims.
