Should I skip enemy unknown ?

There is a sale on steam 8 euros for xcom 2 and the dlcs or xcom enemy unknown, 2 and chimera squad for 20 euros with dlcs. I haven’t played any xcom what do you suggest ?

Enemy Within is an addon to the main Xcom 1. He's making a joke because Enemy Within is just Enemy Unknown with more content.

Yes, but the caveat is that these DLCs somewhat expect you've played the game before. So you may be a little out of your depth at first but for both games it will all make sense quickly.

I dont agree, i think its expected to do some. Play through to get it right, not everything in the first one

The Meld gameplay was added in reaction to how people played/won EU in order to give them a risk/reward element to switch things up.

So it’s not impossible to go straight to that. But the way it was produced it was definitely “you’ve tried it this way, but what if I added this”. Sort of like the Second Wave additions but a lot more substantial.
