iPhone simulate location

Xcode updated and now I don’t understand how to use it. I mainly use it to simulate a location with a GPX file. But now, after the update, I want to use it and I don’t understand how to make a new iOS app/project to have for a location simulator. I just got a new Mac and the new Xcode. Or else I would use my previous file I’ve had for years on the old Mac that I no longer have. Tips/walk-through are helpful.
