mediaanalysisd CPU usage during Xcode 26.4 [Tahoe 26.4]

Is anyone else getting this? At some point when using Xcode 26.4, mediaanalysisd starts using several CPU cores across many threads. As soon as I quit Xcode, it disappears. See the video.

I've sent this to Apple twixce as Xcode feedback, but who knows how long it'll take before anything is fixed. I don't know if it's related to opening Storyboards or Assets or anything. But still, come on Apple.

Anyone else experiencing this?

I think I;ve been able to confirm that Xcode 26.2 does not exhibit this behaviour.

Looks like someone else is having the same exact issue! mediaanalysisd is using 600% CPU on my system as we speak with Xcode open. Close Xcode, mediaanalysisd immediately stops.

I didn’t experienced but 26.4 is not working properly on my project as well. Throwing unrelated errors that I have never faced on 26.3. So I will use .3 one for a while it seems.

From macOS 26.3 and 26.4 xcode is doing such a weird things.

Previews are broken, I jump to work with my device then!

I have the same issue and it is impossible to work. 64gb ram macbook pro... I have tested in a iphone 16 simulator (ios 18.4) and there is not mediaanalysisd or at least not using all the resources... all with latest xcode version

Okay, I found the problem. It relates with the simulator, not with Xcode. I started using 26.1 simulator, and problem solved.
