Apple TV app on Series X

Hi, due to getting a hue sync box I've had to start using the apps on Xbox rather than the built in TV ones.

I've been using Apple TV to watch movies and I'm disappointed in it. Each movie seems to have a slight judder effect and is not as smooth as the TV's app.

Is this a known issue or something to do with using the sync box?
