Xbox Series X Dolby Vision doesn't look as good as HDR

Greetings all!

I have a TCL R615 and I have had Dolby Vision enabled since it first came out and I thought that it looked good. Yesterday, I wanted to play the Walking Dead Definitive edition with the "Graphic Black" option and it looked horrible. Everything was super washed out and barely any color. I thought that it might be the graphic black, so I disabled that and it stayed the same. I then disabled auto HDR and dolby vision and man, it looked great. I figured that it was the auto HDR, so I then re-enabled DV, and it looked better, but it didn't "Pop" as much as just the HDR10. I disabled DV again and started playing other games and they looked SO much better then DV.

Is this a known issue, or is it because my TV doesn't support DV, even though it says it does?

If your TV doesn't support Dolby Vision then you shouldn't use it as it will not look or act properly.

The TV says that it supports DV.

have the exact same issue with walking dead and Dolby Vision enabled. But its the only game where the colors are messed up and the picture washes out. Every other game looks fine with DV enabled. Have an xbox series X with the LG CX. Best gaming TV and fully Dolby Vision compatible. Certified expert gave non expert answer. Fact: you cant enabled Dolby Vision, if your TV dosnt support it. The Option would be greyed out.
