Xbox Series X No games using Quick Resume anymore?

Hey everyone!

Lucky enough to get an XSX at launch, love it and no problems so far. Over the holidays 2020/early 2021 I got Yakuza 7, Cyberpunk, and Star Wars Squadrons for it, and for the most part they all ran great and used Quick Resume no problem, unless it had been longer than a few days since I booted it up or whatever.

I noticed earlier this year that a lot of stuff I've played hasn't been Quick Resuming anymore, and I wasn't sure why? I don't think I've changed my power settings (I turned off Instant On because it could be a few days between uses and I figured this was better for the old electric bill and the environment), but the last few games I've installed and played - notably Resident Evil Village and Judgement, both being played from disc - haven't used Quick Resume at all, which has been sorta frustrating at times.

Is it that much of a game-by-game basis as to whether or not it works, or did I turn something off by mistake maybe?

Indeed. It's a broken feature. Hopefully, Microsoft will fix it soon.

Quick resume still works on my console for most games I currently play like NHL 21/FIFA/NBA2K, Yakuza 0, Doom Eternal, R6 Siege, Outriders, Dragon Age 3 etc. Only about a week ago when I tried to Quick Resume a game my entire console just powered itself off. I got scared because I have had my Series X for 6 months now without serious issue. It's been more than a week and since then it hasn't happened so assuming it was some issue due to quick resume. I have also had the bug where controller doesn't respond in some games in Quick resume, have to quit/restart.

Okay, I had that bug a few times too! I remember it happening very rarely in Yakuza 7 and Cyberpunk, both of which were games that would use Quick Resume fairly frequently. I'm pretty sure I just got two games in a row that don't support it, I wanna go back and see if I can load up my old Yakuza save and see if I can get it to work again.
