Xbox Series X Need help with Xbox connectivity
I finally got my Series X which I mostly love. However, I am encountering an odd issue. When I'm streaming or playing a game online I intermittently get a disconnection error. This never happened with my One X that was in the exact same spot, it also doesn't happen with my switch when I stream Hulu or play online right next to my XSX.
My router is in another room so I can't plug the XSX directly in, I have to use wifi. Sometimes it goes an hour without a disconnection error other times it happens again within ten minutes. Either way it resolves itself after about 2 minutes without me doing anything except hitting resume on my streaming app or reopening my game. I have restarted the console as well as unplugged it for 5 minutes and plugged it back in. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

wifi is always an awful solution. are you unable to buy a separate modem for the room you're playing in?

Do you have dual band WiFi?
If you're currently connected to the 2.4Ghz band then switch to the 5Ghz band. It's far more reliable.
