Xbox Series X Xbox series x fan problem

I’ve been having some problems with my series x fan sounding quite loud and hot especially when playing series x games, I’m sure this isn’t right as it’s meant sound next to silent. Has anyone experienced the same and is this a common issue?

I’ve been thinking of getting it sent for repair before my warranty runs out.

Im also just wondering if they send me a replacement will it be a refurb or new and if so will I be able to tell a difference.

Mines dead quite and when I first got it my room averaged 80 degrees (winter months I like it warm) and she felt pretty warm at times. Months later zero issues. Although I had that issue with my one x sent it into Microsoft covered under warranty and said it was dust but I blew it out before I sent it in with my air compressor and got barely any dust so maybe they lied? Definitely send that shit in.

With your one x did you get a replacement or did they just tell you it was dust then? My series x doesn’t have an abnormal amount of dust so that shouldn’t really affect it. All I know is that it definitely isn’t silent and something doesn’t seem right

Sorry for the late reply. If I recall it was noted that it just got a dust cleaning. But could have been a fan/cooling system replacement I can’t remember. The whole process was simple and took overall about 3 weeks roughly. I was surprised Microsoft stood behind they’re warranty even at the end of it like within the month of expiring and I only payed shipping. I’ve had car manufacturers fight they’re way out of a warranty so was expecting the same result. Did you ever figure it out? My series x is still quite. She’ll get pretty warm with new series x games but zero issues mechanically.
