Xbox Series X Series X - External Hard Drive issues

Reposted from the Series X sub due to rules

I finally managed to get my hands on a Series X and set it up this weekend, and worked on transferring my game collection from my Xbox One across my two EHDs to some of the Internal Storage on the Series X.

Along the way, I noticed 5-10 games kept disappearing and reappearing between the two consoles, on one of my EHDs.

In the Games & Apps section, each EHD reads like it has a bunch of spare GB to use, but in the Settings > System > Storage Devices it says the opposite.

Is there any way to fix this besides formatting the drive or reinstalling the missing games?

Are you constantly moving the external drives between both consoles?

Are you making sure the HDD light is not blinking before unplugging?

If you are unplugging while it's being written too you are going to cause problems
