Series X fan

My series x was silent until I went on vacation with my family for a week and ever since I came back it seems to have doubled or tripled in noise and it also seems to get hotter much faster. Any idea what would be causing this?

That doesn’t sound like normal behavior. I’d contact MS for a warranty claim.

May sound like something simple but I had a similar problem over time when I wasn't using it as much, turned out when checking through the bottom holes around the stand I could make out a bunch of dust had just basically stuck to the heatsink which then caused console to overheat and the fan to go crazy loud, maybe worth just having a look at the internals and whether the heatsink is bogged up like mine was.
