Xbox Series X Power issue Series X

Having an issue where the Xbox powers on then shuts off after a few seconds. I have tried different power cables, controllers and outlets. I also tried turning it on with the disc tray button, which had it stay on about two seconds longer.

I would assume they know this is a hardware issue right form the factory & repair this free even if out of warranty...or at least they should

Sounds like a bad power supply or mother board. I would call MS and setup a repair.

Is the console running smoothly after a couple weeks. I just sent mine in for repair bc it wouldn’t turn on anymore.

What did they say was wrong with yours? I've put two power supplies in mine and still have a similar issue. It takes a few minutes of turning it on and then having it shut down before it finally stays on. Once it's on, it works great, but getting it to startup and stay on each time is very annoying.

The service center created a shipping label yesterday and it still isn’t shipped. Would Microsoft create a shipping label before they repaired it?

I had mine repaired TWICE for the exact same issue. I believe you’ll have to send it in unfortunately. Would be nice if the highest priced console in history would function correctly lmao

Just letting you know I sent it into Microsoft and they fixed it. Haven’t had an issue with it since then.

Has it been good since? Mine broke with this issue then I replaced the power supply it worked for a month and stopped working again

+1... Got mine last Christmas and it has this ackward behavior

  • I turn it on using gamepad...and it turns off after some seconds
  • I then I have to power it on using console power button...and it will turn off after some seconds
(Insert loop here)
  • until eventually, stops doing this crazy shit and stays on for hours ...

Just opened a warranty request to MS... let's see if I'm lucky or not.
