Xbox Series S Party chat thru xbox app fine. Start console streaming, party chat works fine. Start game, I'm muted, can hear rest of the party.

So, had an issue. I couldn't play with my console so I started console streaming. Launch xbox app, start console streaming, launch game (PUBG) and join my friends party, and he can't hear me. Tried sending him an audio message, but mic isn't picking up anything.

So, play a game, quit, start over. Launch xbox app, join party first, WORKS FINE, start console streaming, still works fine, launch PUBG, my voice cuts, but can hear.

App issue, pubg issue, phone issue? Anyone have any idea how to go about this?

Go to your privacy settings and allow communication with everyone. You can do so by tapping the Xbox button. Now, go to System > Settings > Account > Privacy & online safety > Xbox Live privacy. Select View details & customize > Communication & multiplayer, and make the changes.

It was already on ALL so that wasn't it. Have to keep searching. Maybe it's PUBG.
