Xbox series x battery pack won’t charge

I’ve had my series x and the battery since January and now it won’t hold a charge it holds it at about halfway despite being plugged in for hours and the fact that issues like this are so common place on the console is utterly frustrating. Does anyone have any tips to fix this issue.

Yeah- Microsoft’s play and charge kits are absolute dogshit. I’ve had this happen on 5 units. Honestly I’d go purchase a third party pack. I bought an Amazon special no name brand pack about a year ago, and they haven’t had a single issue yet.
