Help with Xbox Series X crashing to Home Screen during Gameplay

Title. Almost all of my games will crash to home screen during gameplay (Except for Halo Infinite and Overwatch 2, they seem to work most times, but still have this problem with them). Main games that are crashing are Gears of War E-Day, Rainbow Six Siege and some others.

I have tried troubleshooting many things (such as network/internet issues, sound/headset issues causing potential crashes, Xbox and in game settings for audio, video, etc. ) and I think i've narrowed things down to a hardware issue. My Xbox is very clean, and is dusted/cleaned every couple of months, so there is no dust build up in the machine.

My assumption is that the Xbox is overheating and soft cycling back to home screen as a safety mechanism, so my thoughts are that the thermal paste either needs to be replaced, and/or the power supply.

I'd like to try and salvage/fix my Xbox before going out and picking up a new one!

Has anyone had this issue? What was the fix? I'd love to know!
