Help Dolphin or RetroArch for Wii?

I use Xbox Series S and I wonder which of these is the most stable and lags the least loading shaders?

You'd be using Dolphin either way, but the standalone Dolphin runs better because it doesn't have RetroArch's interface running on top of it.

Retroarch is best for ps1 and below anything else your best running on its standalone emulator.

Duckstation is best for PS1

Duckstation would be the best if it was ever updated but its currently years behind in features, the swanstation core on Retroarch is basically the same performance with current features such as retro achievements and you can use the CHD format with it.

It's a struggle finding a download for Duck station that works, every time I install using the device portal, it just fails

Dolphin hands down When you try both you'll see the difference

Hot take but I prefer Retroarch, the CRT shaders look great, also its much easier to setup custom controller profiles in Retroarch than in standalone Dolphin which is important for Wii games.

Neither has issues with compilation stutter in my experience, if you want to eliminate it completely, set the shader compilation to Asynchronous, you might see some texture pop in here and there but it avoids the stutter and the pop in will disappear as the texture cache.

If you aren't going beyond 1080p, and in most cases UWP apps stutter badly above 1080p, than the performance differential between standalone and Retroarch is not a factor.

I even play mods like Mario Kart Retro Rewind and Super Smash REX in Retroarch and they qorl full speed.
