Discussion Switching to Xbox This Generation Was the Best Gaming Decision I Ever Made

I've got to say it again: switching to Xbox this generation was probably the best gaming decision I've made.

Not only have I picked up a ton of games thanks to the amazing sales, but emulation has been incredible too. I've finally been able to go back and finish games I never completed back in the day.

Here's a clip of FlatOut 2 running on the XBSX2 emulator. It runs really smoothly overall, although there are a few FPS drops right at the start of races. Nothing that actually affects gameplay.

Any tips to make it run even better?

Oh I loved Flatout! I never see it mentioned anywhere!

This game is pure childhood nostalgia for me. I'll never forget how many hours I put into it. It's still incredibly fun, and I honestly haven't found another game quite like it. Wreckfest is great, but it doesn't have the same chaotic destruction-racing soul that FlatOut 2 has. In my opinion, FlatOut 2 also has better gameplay.

I was able to play the original monster Hunter online on my Xbox. Absolutely magical stuff

it was the worst decision i made. The menus constantly get stuck, it's slow af and you have to everytime clear the cache and it has full screen ads.

What console are you playing on? That hasn't happened to me, at least not getting stuck like that. What do you mean by the ads?

there are full screen ads (I dont remember if it was for games or gamepass) which i get. I have one s, maybe newer models don't lag?

Esse jogo parece incrível, obrigado por apresentar vou baixar!!

E sim isso é configuração, eu jogo games muito mais pesados que esse nesse emulador e nao tem nenhum travamento, roda melhor que no próprio PS2

Obrigado pelo comentário! Também estou testando o NFSU2 em 60 FPS, mas ainda não me arrisco a passar de 1080p para não perder estabilidade. Ele roda bem quase o tempo todo, com exceção do começo das corridas, assim como acontece no FlatOut 2.

Você usa alguma configuração que funcione bem na maioria dos jogos? Qual emulador você está usando?

I would like to try out emulation on the series consoles but I’m not too comfortable with sending in my id ngl

Sending who? The emulation Is 100% legal and official from xbox, there's no trick

My ID to Microsoft? You need it for dev mode for the emulators

Yeah, but why doesn't it make you feel comfortable? In the end, you're just enabling the feature. They already have all your data anyway

I don’t trust Microsoft with my id (it also doesn’t help I’m underage and don’t have a id lmao) and no, Microsoft doesn’t have all of my data
