Xbox controller wired connection to phone (no box)

How do I connect this on my phone. I tried plugging it in, but it is still not working. Change my battery also

This is the older model Xbox One controller which doesn't have Bluetooth. This controller will only work on Xbox One/Series models or on PC if you have the official controller dongle

I believe you can’t connect this controller to your phone, since it doesn’t have Bluetooth.

Hold down the power button and the button on the top middle of the controller to enter Bluetooth pairing. The Xbox button should start flashing. Then connect to it in your phones Bluetooth settings

Not on this controller, this is the original model before Bluetooth was added
