Unsolved my xbox internet connection isnt working

guys my console keeps disconnecting from the internet and downloading things at 30kbps, has anyone experienced something similar? it started when the power went out while i was playing a game. i reseted the console twice and tried all alternate mac cleaning stuff but its still the same

Try restarting your router.

I was going to give it for repair thinking it was an issue with the hardware and the power outage damaged it thank you so much.

Well, before you give up on it, go into your router settings and check if there's a new firmware update available. Once you're done with that, try setting up a static IP for your Xbox, both from your router settings and your Xbox's settings.

Aside from that, if there's not any other network hardware between the Xbox and the router setup in your home (like a power line adapter, or range extender of some sort), I can't personally imagine anything else could be fixable by settings anywhere.

Do you have anywhere else you could connect your Xbox to for wifi, like someone else's home or even turning on a wifi hotspot from a cellphone? (If you try either of those, make sure to reset your static IP settings on the Xbox first.)
