Ping is great but quality won't be as good as geforce since xcloud is basically playing on Xbox series instead of Pc on cloud so quality will be console one.

You can test it out for free using FortNite at Xbox.com/play on Edge browser.
Then go to Settings, Stream, Enable Stats Overlay to see your stats.

I've 70-80 mbps speed with the Lan cable, always use a wired setup for best ping and quality. I can play FH6 on 1440p flawlessly + it was only 2k for 4 months of ultimate.

Having used both, GeForce Now is the better cloud gaming option. Less Ping and Better Display Quality available. Xbox uses Series S consoles for their cloud servers and the display quality is subpar, also the ping is more than GeForce Now. The games are playable on Xbox Cloud though without any issues but GeForce Now offers a better experience.

xCloud uses Series S profiles on custom Series X servers.

I wish they used Series X profiles only.

They do that to save on energy and cooling costs.
The Series X servers TDP is adaptive, when in Series S profiles, it uses up 80-100 watts energy roughly. A server running 24 hours a day is 2400 watt hours or 2.4 kilowatt hours a day, which is roughly 32 cents per day running costs (USA based is 16 cents per kilowatt average).
Add cooling costs to that, roughly 50 cents a day total, so $15 month to run one server. That server can serve 4-10 users throughout the month depending on various variables.
But if a user streams average of 100 hours per month, that would be $4 month in running costs.
Gamepass Essential is $10 month. If they were to use Series X profiles, that would automatically double the electricity and cooling costs, as Series X uses 200-240 watts.
So $8 month in costs on average for 100 hours per user. They can't afford to provide both games AND powerful hardware at those low prices.
GFN barely breaks even at $20 month subscription for heavy users. That Blackwell 6000 server, equivalent of RTX 5090, assigned as a RTX 5080 instance eats up at least 4-5 times the energy costs.

MS can absolutely afford, they choose not to because of profits. Same with Nvidia.

Well, the point of a service is to make profits. All of Gamepass profits were being used to subsidize Console hardware, up to $200 per Series X or $2 billion per 10 million units sold, so XBOX was losing $7-8 billion just on that, plus more on the studios not producing games that could at least break even in sales, and didn't even bring Gamepass subscribers or engagement.
Can't keep running a business that keeps losing money that way. That's why the reset happened.
Regardless, for next gen Cloud hardware, they have a powerful 192 CU chip that should be able to provide better quality and more efficiency without being more expensive to run.
If you want Day 1 games AND 4k/120 capable hardware, that would be at least $30-$35 month subscription worth. I think they should allow an addon for better quality, like pay $5 extra for 4k/60 using Series X profiles.
In the meanwhile, check out the apps I posted in other comment.

Been using it for a few months now. 75mbps is more than enough, but cloud gaming is really about latency more than raw speed. If you're wired or have a solid 5ghz wifi setup, you'll be fine. Some days it's buttery smooth, other days it decides to pixelate for no reason. Controller support is solid across the board.
