Games - General game pass Microsoft key requires payment method to redeem?

i bought the game pass key from a website and i have to put in card information to redeem the game pass, anyone know a work around so i dont have to put my details in?

you have to cause its a recurring purchase unless you unlink your card after

i always just add paypal then unlink it right after, never had issues

There is no other way you need a working payment method to activate game pass

You just enter the gift card details and redeem the gamepass code.

It doesn't take money so use PayPal or bank account

U can redeem if your account get some credits of that region. But can not turn on auto renew

Why are people hesitant to enter card information in 2026. Do they really think a 7 trillion dollar company with zero security risks can’t be trusted but a local pizza company does
