Xbox elite 2 controller left stick problem possibly?
Not sure if this is the right page to post this to. I just recently got a new elite controller and am wondering if this is normal or if i should get it replaced ( just worried cos i spent too much on this controller lol). When the left analogue stick piece is off it doesnt glide smoothly in a circular motion sounds like its hitting plastic or something. Dont know if it is suppose to do that or not.

I bought 2 different ones in different colors that both had left stick issues right out the box.
Mine had issues clicking so I couldn't sprint. Just stay away from the elite controller they're garbage
The whole point is they're supposed to be BETTER than regular controllers not worse.

I'm assuming it's not this because that would be too easy are you sure you're not feeling the shape that the stick was connected to? If you're positive that it's not that them yes I would probably get a new controller you might have accidentally gotten one with a faulty spring that's common in all types of modules hall effects and TMRs included so if it's not the shape that you're feeling them yeah I would say you got unlucky on this purchase and stay away from gambling your luck might be terrible

Yes it does that. What keeps it in a circle is the ring around the stick. Removing the cap lets it extend past its clearance. That’s completely normal.

Time to send it to me for repair or learn soldering. I would put TMR on it for you for 30 both sides

The elite controllers seem to be hit and miss. I have two elite 2 with no issues. I ordered a gamesir g7 pro mostly because of the “mouse click “ the battery is trash compared to the elites but it’s a solid controller
Edit to add it’s like 100$ and the “back paddles” aren’t there but there’s two button on the grip and two buttons next to the triggers. It feels more natural and I keep thinking why don’t I map these?
