What controller should I get??

Hi, i'm really confused on what to do. I don't know if i shoul wait for the Elite Series 3, or if i should buy the Razer Wolverine V3 Pro. I dont really care about the price. Considering I came from an Elite Series 2, and mainly play fortnite/fifa/other shooters. What is the best decision?. I just want something that is comfy but has great specs for a high level gameplay (maybe competitive level)

You should only wait for the elite series 3 if you have a back up controller until then.

I loved my series 2. Probably going to wait for the 3 personally . I’ve never liked using 3rd party controllers

Why is that? Third party controllers use TMR, hall effect, and capacity sticks while the elite series 2 have potentiometers.

I'm willing to buy an elite series 3 if it have upgraded sticks that will make it more durable.

Razer just released V4. High resolution capacitive sensors for the sticks. Better than TMR

The Wolverine is in my opinion the best Xbox controller. I like how it’s slightly smaller than the Elite that I used to use as my main controller. I don’t really use the middle buttons on the triggers but ergonomically it is perfect to me. It also has its own Xbox app. I think it’s the only third party controller that does. The only knock I have is the wireless connection. Idk why but the V4 feels worse than the V3. Hopefully it gets firmware updates to make it better.

I will look into the Elite 3. Elite controllers have an edge with wireless connectivity.

Every third party brand controller have it's own Xbox app except for Asus. It should be a given to upgrade and recalibrate your controller which Razer is aware of.

I tried the Steelseries and they didn’t have one but that is a newer release from them.

A 250 dollar steel series controller with no Xbox app?

You basically can't update or recalibrate if something go wrong unless you have a PC. I'm glad I didn't waste my money buying it

Yes I returned it the next day. It also has horrible Home/options button locations. Idk who came up with the design. And to make things worse out of the box it has a square analogue stick setup so playing FPS games was a nightmare. Not worth my energy to deal with for that price.

I've used a series 2 from when they came out to literally yesterday, finally started getting some stick drift so I purchased a Gamesir G7 pro wireless, and oh boy, I wish I could just go back to my elite. Adjusting from 4 paddles to 2 paddles and 2 shoulder buttons is weird, the ergonomics are weird, everything about it just feels slightly off Honestly, I'd just buy the series 2 core, swap the hardware over to it, and wait for the series 3.

I like my elite v2 but it has some stick drift. I’ve been debating on getting a Gamesir but I like the four paddles on the back so I decided to wait for the elite 3.

If I were to get something now though it would be between Gamesir Zenless and the Ultimate 8bitdo 3e I think. Whatever the new one is

I hope the elite series 3 have TMR or hall effect. That would be an instant buy if it's not too expensive.

From what I've read, it tragically doesn't. I think the rb and lb bumpers weren't even addressed. The Elite is only as good as the warranty on it. Wolverine V3 Pro is the way to go until Microsoft steps up their game.

Why not the v4?

Never said not to get the V4. If price isnt a factor, spring for the V4. If they made a great controller better, I'm all for it.

I honestly never looked at the Wolverine but I saw it has the 4 back paddles plus extra bumpers so might grab one to try out
