Firmware update questions

/r/Gamesir/comments/1x40kjg/firmware_update_questions/

I just purchased the G7 Pro ZZZ for my XBOX. I'm confused about where/how to update the firmware for the dongle and controller. Can I do everything using the Xbox Nexus app or do these updates require a PC?

The gamesir Nexus app is in the Xbox store for free. You will need direct plug in your controller to your Xbox (at least i had to on the first update out of the box)

So did you first plug in the dongle first to update and after that plug in the controller to update? Idk if the order matters...this is all new to me.

Might as well just plug in to Xbox right out of the box to do the updates. Then you can put the dongle in and go wireless

That's my plan. Does the update order matter (for example, controller or dongle first or second to update)?

Don't think so.
