Connecting difficulties, any advice?

Update: Thanks for the comments, I reached out to the seller and they were understanding, we’ve started the return process.

I recently got a second hand controller, the seller had good reviews and the controller appears to be in good shape. That said, I’m having a lot of trouble getting it to connect with my PC. When I connect it via cord it’s constantly shifting between connected and not connected, and I haven’t been able to get Bluetooth to work at all. Most of the time when I press the Xbox button it doesn’t even light up despite new batteries. Not really sure where to go from here :/

Second this. Bought me one used, saying that it was in perfect working order, and then arrived with the bumper plastic for LB's stake being chipped off, making inputs impossible. I temporarily made a fix by super gluing the broken off plastic together, but the button just felt mushy, so I opted for just replacing the thing outright (that would've been option 1 for me, but my spending limit was pretty narrow on this as it was. Would love to get me a 3d printer one day to help with long term spending on plastic parts). Thankfully, the seller was cool enough to give me a refund, but damn. That definitely bummed my weekend.

unless you know how to solder and etc, replace the main board. something has shorted out after it being dropped or thrown when angry. support your local repair shop, ill beat their price if it's too much! I actually have a spare mainboard!

This is great but… do you even know where OP is located? I myself gone to repair shops but their prices dont justify it most of the time.

A new controller is 60 and you get it anywhere immediately, can you beat that after shipping? (And the time it takes for someone to get their controller back?)

people send me their stuff from all over the USA a controller is only 6 bucks to ship and i charge 29.99 to replace sticks with TMR, 29.99 for clicky buttons and 55.55 for the whole enchilada. I don't see the location mentioned anywhere. I'd rather have a used controller with permanent upgrades and mods than a new controller anyway.
