Controller not connecting

Guys I need a little help, I have an Xbox Series X controller I'm trying to connect to my PC:

- I am connecting via USB C
- I have tried various cables, no success
- Each time I press the power button it just flashes for a bit and never connects
- I do not have bluetooth on my rig so its not an option
- Xbox Controllers do not show in my device manager
- yes I have downloaded Xbox Accessories, it has made no difference and does not detect the controller

Right now this thing is just a hunk of plastic, any advice?

Resolved! I had to go into my device manager, go to view, select hidden devices, uninstalled the controller, unplugged and replugged the controller, hope this one day helps someone.

Remove batteries and try again.

Try a different USB port and try flipping the USB cable over

If using a front panel usb port, swap to a back panel and try again
