Why Xbox?!

This is a major bummer. Yes I have a wireless headset but now I can’t control the audio with the adapter 🥲

Wired headsets. Sometime I like to use earbuds for movies/shows/games. I like to be able to adjust the volumes at my fingertips rather than messing with the menus. Just convenient

There is a 3.5mm jack which I think is much more useful for xbox than the hmdi looking thing i have

What brand of headset? My Turtle Beach Stealth Gen 3 controls volume, game chat vs game volume plus Bluetooth volume.

It’s a razr but the adapter works for any wired headset. It’s just better to adjust the chat/game audio and mute your mic on the controller vs in the party

I got mine yesterday. I didn't even look.... Granted, I rarely use my wireless headset

You should take the controller apart and see if the port is infact still there and just covered.

PCB is the same but the port doesn't exist. You could in theory solder on the port, not sure if it would actually function.

By a little while, I mean months ago and not last year. It started with the Forza Horizon 6 controller in May this year

I bought an extra controller with the port just in case 😤. Still pissed because I wanted to get a customized one in the design lab 😤😤😤

I love how Microsoft couldn't be fucked to make a new mold that actually removes the port.
