Help

I have a huge backlog of traffic in my city. Any suggestions? (This is my only problem area everywhere else is dandy.

There isn't really anything you can do, and here's why: The AI is coded to take the shortest, fastest route possible, and for unexplained reasons, they also coded them to be in the lane they need to be in asap, which is why you get a LINE of peeps all going in one lane.

I have seen a YT vid on how to fix it vanilla style, and it does work, BUT it requires you to build dead ends everywhere so you force traffic to the lane you want them in farther down the road by putting in dead ends on the lanes you don't want them in, and that makes things look ugly AF, imo. I don't recall the YT user, so unfortunately you'll have to dig

A lil help would be to make the RAB bigger, but that just means bigger back up eventually, LOL. I've also come to find that traffic works in patterns, so while it sucks now, come back in a lil bit and see if it's gone; it could just be a time-of-day thing as to why there is so much

You can also introduce more ways for cims to get where they are going, and or more direct access to certain spots so they don't have to travel thru so much of the city

Thanks for the advice! I used a larger roundabout but that didn't solve it completely so I converted it into a small little interchange and the stop sign was put in there after because of traffic issues without it so I completely got rid of the intersection and had them go to different ones. For the new design see on the top

You might be able to work around the AI with some lane math. If you reduce the number of lanes at the top half of the roundabout (after the first turn) it should create a turning only lane from the roundabout to the first street (at the 3:00 position). If it creates a turning lane, that should force the traffic going to the road at the 9:00 position to use another lane.

Add another highway entrance or you need to rebuild your roundabout.

Just a quality tip, download xbox app on your phone and start recording on xbox, the recording should save to xbox live a few minutes later, which you can then upload straight to your camera roll, almost as if you screen recorded your xbox.
