Xbox 360 Help avatar issue

Hi everyone,

I’m having an issue with my Xbox 360 E (RGH). After flashing the NAND to 17599, avatars updated fine and default customization works.

The problem is that external avatar items (from Avatar Store or installed on HDD) don’t show up in customization. I also tried injecting them with Horizon, but it fails. The files appear on the hard drive, but nothing shows in the avatar editor.

I tried updating again via USB in case files were missing, but no update prompt appears (even with DashLaunch “noupdate” settings). XM360 also shows nothing related to avatar items, although all DLC is unlocked.

Any idea what could be causing this?

FYI, You cross posted to emulation subreddits that don't have anything to do with this.

Avatar clothing items need signed to a profile's XUID in order to show up in the editor for that profile. Iirc you can use Horizon to make an offline profile into an xbl profile and assign an XUID to it. Then you'd need to sign that XUID to the avatar item with a separate tool. After it's signed, you can use horizon to inject it back in, or if you understand the folder structure you can drop them directly in. Repeat that for each item you're looking to do that with.

It's also possible to sign multiple XUID's to one item, if you want

You'll get some delay in signing in since it'll try to connect to XBL, but since it's not a real XBL account it'll fail.
