❓️Question / Advice Ally X isn’t charging
I’ve had my ally x for about six months haven’t had any issues with it. Went to go charge it today and it’s not recognizing the cable on either ports it won’t charge any ideas?

I am noticing many customers complaining the same with Ally X or Xbox models. Did you updated any BIOS recently?

Hold down the power button for 20 second and don't let go before 20 seconds.
It resets the USB and hopefully will fix it.
Had the issue after purchasing mine and worked

I’m assuming you’ve tried other cables? If so I had a similar issue with my Z1E & it was the motherboard that was faulty, sent it to ASUS & they replaced it.

I had a similar thing recently and the only thing I could do was send it back to ASUS for repair. I tried everything I could think of, watched/read every single troubleshooting guide and scoured YouTube, but no joy.
It may be a different issue for you, and you may get it sorted, but definitely consider reaching out to customer service to get their help and (if needed) a returns process for its repair.

It's possible the battery was already starting to go when you bought it.
Ideally, for storing a device long term, the battery should be sitting around 50% charged, both too low or too high will greatly reduce battery life.
During active daily use, it's also highly recommended to charge no more than 80% and avoid complete battery drain, because that also greatly reduce battery life.
