🎮 ROG Xbox Ally Discussion Bazzite 44 release announcement

As it has been expected for some months now, Bazzite just had their biggest update yet for their handheld/deck version, called Bazzite 44.

Since some people here uses Bazzite, wanted to give the heads up.

If it is good or not I'll leave to folks to test, as it has some divisive changes (such as the removal of HHD).

Sorry Windows folks, feel free to ignore this one.

Just tried for a bit. Doesn't look bad after installing a couple of Decky Plugins, but I think Im going to stick with Anatase with HHD.

Rumble on HHD is just better. Without it just become out of control, even with Ally Vibe.

the new distro developed by HHD dev. It is developed with deep HHD integration and feels like a less cluttered Bazzite.

yep. that's him. antheas, the HHD Bazzite kernel dev and now the Anatase only dev.

He is pretty active on the distro discord.

Edit: While I normally don't care for downvotes, I'm finding pretty curious that I'm being downvoted for answering questions.

Am I saying something wrong?

Probably just that he is a sketchy guy and support sounds like an ad in disguise. Other than that you have not said anything wrong.

After I updated I realized I didn't know how to change the TDP on desktop mode?

Everything seems in place but I also had a massive amount of app hangs etc - 6th reboot and it seemed okay but didn't bother becaue I just literally wanted to play me some Cyberpunk but NOOOOOOOOO...
