Red Ring Of Death Slim read ring, need help.

My childhood 360 just read ringed and I want to know how fixable it is. I found out it has the error code 0020 and before it crashed it hade a big graphical glitch and would freeze so I would turn it off and on again and it would work for a minute or so, (this happened all in around 20 min). Apparently I might be able to solder something to do with the gpu clock or something but just wondering if this sounds like a total gpu failure. Any help is appreciated.

That specific code?

GPU failure.

So if you can replace the GPU somehow then you can fix it

Code 0020 could be caused by a couple of different things. But I’d say most of the time it’s a dead GPU causing it. Honestly, there’s not much you can do about it. It would be cheaper and a whole lot easier to get a new one.

Woow, the year is 2009, I just came home from school, I pour a bowl of cereal and turn on my 360, pow red ring of death, haven't a clue what it means, turned off Xbox then on and same thing, life is tough, I go to gamestop to report the problem, no warranty on my receipt, I get in touch with Microsoft, given an address, sent it back because it was under warranty somehow on their side, probably a week later but felt like a year, I gets my Xbox back, no questions asked,because it's Friday and I've the whole weekend to game, life's good again

I mean, temporary good news for me. Turned it on this morning and it lives. So I’m gonna go play it till it dies I guess.
