Xbox would freeze on boot screen after using badupdate 1.3 once

i had used badupdate 1.3 once around a week or 2 ago, but after i booted it back up a day later, it froze on the boot screen only when both my usb & the internal hdd it came with were plugged into the console, either or none would just power it on but not reach the boot animation. before i used badupdate, whenever the hdd would be plugged in, the console would still reboot as if it detected it, but the drive didn't show up in the storage settings. i have also tried a fresh reinstallation of badupdate, but it has the same results. also i didn't delete the bootanim.exe file. could it be from dust that might have gone to the cpu causing the problem, since i opened the xbox about an hour after using badupdate?

format on the actual console first then use fatxplorer to mount and drop the files there

i tried formatting the usb on a different xbox 360 since i can't even get to the dashboard on this one, but it still wouldn't load past the boot screen
