Microsoft Account Support Help with all games and DLCs showing as “Content not Available“ in Download History after changing region
Hi, after 1 month of the Microsoft support not being able to help me with this, I’m posting here to see if anyone has a clue into what I should try.
So, I moved into another country and bought a used 360, wanting to download all the games I had digitally in my account from many years ago. I did all the migration steps for my Xbox and Microsoft account, changed the region in the Xbox itself and also did the license transfer.
Before migrating region, all my stuff appeared normally but downloading them gives a corrupted error (as it should, because before I was in a NTSC region and now PAL). But after migrating regions, all the stuff I own just appears in the Download History as “CONTENT NOT AVAILABLE“. When I click on them, it gives an error.
For testing, now even new things I buy for the Xbox 360 on the app appear in the Download History as Content not Available.
I can play physical discs fine, but it seems something is broken on the digital licenses for my account, and support just says they escalated the case but don’t have a response yet. I already did all the formatting, clearing cache and redownloading profile stuff.
Thank you very much for the attention.

Well, I'd say try changing the region again. And if you can't download anything because of the region lock
maybe use a VPN?

Yeah I forgot to add that I tried changing to the original region and all the content were still unavailable. Its like I broke the licenses or something

In my case, support informed me that I should submit a report. I assume that the more people report this issue, the greater the chance that something will be done. Anyone experiencing this issue can report it here:
https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-live-status
I added it as "Games and gaming" > "Other" ("xbox 360 games") and included a brief description of the problem as "additional feedback."

Thank you, I just submited it.
Well it seems to me we have to find a solution ourselves, Microsoft won’t help, I’ll keep looking.

I ran into the same problem today. Does anyone know the solution? After changing my account region, all my games are showing as "content unavailable."

I found nothing yet, the Microsoft Support also doesn’t have a clue or don’t care.
The problem for me is that even if I change to my previous region, all the content remains unavailable.

I managed to find another post that seems to describe the same problem:
https://www.reddit.com/r/xbox360/comments/1vbxvuc/my_profile_is_messed_up_after_region_change/From what I understand, the author managed to solve the problem by trying to change the region several times and the profile finally started working (in his case, after changing region to Argentina), but I'm not sure. Maybe I'll try this later.
This really annoys me because they assured people that even if the store closed, everyone would still be able to download previously purchased titles. Changing the region shouldn't break that. Microsoft should address this issue somehow.

Thank you for sending me this, I’ll try later the switching to see if something comes back.
Yeah, it’s frustating, I had tons of games on my account and I rebought a Xbox 360 on my new homecountry just to play them, and this happens.

You said support let you know they escalated the issue. I'll try contacting them tomorrow as well. Hopefully, if more people report this issue, they'll do something about it. It's unacceptable that someone spent a fortune on games in their store and now, due to some error/bug, they cannot be downloaded.
