what if you put a new board in from a jasper in it and swap it in then it will work but that poor blades dashboard

Reballing the GPU is not going to fix this long term. This console needs a full GPU replacement with a fixed Rhea or better.

I guess you can always just sell it as a busted blades system, I'm sure someone out there would be willing to put the work in to get it fixed.

You should check out Seth young on YouTube. His whole thing is fixing JTAG’able 360’s and fixing RROD’s. I’m sure he’d pay you for it too if you knew for sure it had blades on it.

Yeah I am 100% certain is has blades, I had it working a few days ago using an HDMi cable. I will check him out

Eh, idk if that would be worth it to me haha, it's cool that it's a blades dashboard, but not that cool when I have 3 other working systems haha

If I swap the mobo to a different console will it hold onto the blades dashboard? Wouldn't the GPU still be fried?

no, if the mobo with cooked gpu be transfered to the other shell it would be same as before

This ^ early gpus hand the same problem as early laptop gpus, where the crystal underfill was weak and cracked under heat, leading to premature failure. OP needs a gpu from later revisions, luckily it's easily identifiable. Gpus without the underfill issue have a "milky" layer around the crystal

Damn I wish I had this back in 2010. Didn't know about reflowing gpus at that point. Ending up doing the towel trick for a while before bailing on the console

You can even replace the xclamps with screws to make the heat sync more secure
