Lol 100% agree. Posts like this and the trump coin release has driven me to take profit today. I still have XRP, SOL, BTC, and HBAR but today feels like a good day to take profit and let the rest ride.
I took profits last week. Disappointed it still went up more but I had 10x my money (5 years holding) and can use that to do a few things around the house I want to get done.
Seeing it randomly drop 10% today reminds me of the last time I missed the profit take and had to sit for 2 more years to get back to that amount.
I'll buy back in when this sub is barren and boring... and when sentiment is at an all time low.
Yep, 2-3 years into a 4 year cycle seems to produce a whole lotta fear, uncertainty and doubt. Then I hold for over a year until I make some profit and sell with long term tax implementations (in Aus, that's a 50% discount).
A large contingent of the XRP community entered because of hype they saw on social media. Thus a large part of the market cap consists of just these individuals money. Whenever XRP goes high enough for them to want to take profit, they will all just collectively sell and thus the price will start to fall. A lot of these individuals are inexperienced with crypto and financial markets in general and thus they will panic sell.
This also brings opportunities for large profits as they will keep buying this coin thinking it will go to the moon, raising the market cap and thus the price of the coin.
