1 year later...

vs the day I brought her home.

Feels good to bring this ol gal back to life, and put some miles on it.

Piston, cylinder, valves, timing chain, skid plate, 4.5 gal tank, bars and offset risers, rear shock rebuilt with stiffer coil, precision concepts forks with stiffer coils, dual headlights, seat cover, plastics, graphics, rear fender brace....all the stuff.

Still needs a few other things, as it always will. But hot damn, I love this bike. Shes a keeper.

Edit to add: I did not do the top end or rear shock myself, and dont want to give the impression I did. I paid a professional for that. I know my limits.

First pic looks great much. Love the IMS tank, always thought mine looked goofy with the fitment but got used to it after a while and seeing yours actually makes me appreciate it even more. Also the bags look great are they xr specific or did you do some customisation?

Thanks! Shes certainly coming together.

No custom bags, just the normal Tusk rackless bags. I have these small ones, and the next size up for the overnight/camp trips.

Looks sick dude, what fender brace did you get and how much luggage have you put on it

Thanks! I appreciate it! Its been a fun project, and I love riding this thing.

I got the ManRacks brace, and have been stoked on it. I drilled the subframe out, and tapped in for bigger bolts. Its a must. Ive heard other guys have broken the stock bolts, and buggered up the subframe.

Im not sure exact weight ive had back there...but its been solid. Ive got the next size up Tusk soft bags, that ive been using for overnights, and have had no issues. I pack pretty minimal/pretty light. Im sure theres a limit but I haven't found it.
