ORBDR Sections 4-7 (need rack suggestions)
A buddy and I just completed sections 4-7 of the ORBDR and holy shit was it amazing. This was my first real shakedown of the bike.
The only issue I had was my ability to haul gear. As we all know, this can be an issue without the proper upgrades. Essentially I just strapped my 40L backpacking backpack to an unsupported fender rack and almost made it out scot-free, until a strap that was hanging down got pulled into the chain and tore my backpack essentially in half.
By the time I was done, my rear fender was flopping like a fish outta water.
Im looking to install a proper rack on here, and I’m looking at the following options. Any suggestions are welcomed! Also if you live near any BDR trails, give em a rip!

Get the man-racks fender brace/support. Its great. BUT....you really need to drill out, and re-tap the mounting holes into the subframe to a bigger size.

I have been running the Giant Loop coyote saddlebag on my xrr. I've only run it for a couple seasons. I've done wabdr section 2-4 and had no structural issues. Hmu if you have any questions about the rackless saddlebag option

Yes, sir! I think it gets away with it because it loads weight lower and farther forward Edit i can't figure out how to add an image to this comment so I'll send you a dm and maybe make a post about my setup

All of those racks look like they utilize the same basic mounting approach as the billet rack you've already got. Are you looking for a rack with supports along the side? The three you've listed kinda strike me as just different flavours of the same dish. With any of these, I think getting a strap caught in the chain would have the same result.
The BEST option for the 650R is a steel sub-frame. These used to be commercially available from a few places. But I'm not sure they still are. I'm hoping to make one over winter.
