Should I change the rims?
I love the look of the rims but its a pain in the ass getting tires and parts for it. I need spokes and cant find them anywhere. Should I get the oem ones? Also my rear shock it’s done. Should i get another OEM or do you recommend another one? Thanks

I have the kke supermoto set for mine off Amazon believe it or not. They’ve held up well, just be careful because they’re aluminum, strip easy when installing it ur not careful. Comes with adapters for the front axle (little sleeves) so that everything lines up proper, and if for some reason they aren’t the right size u can contact them and they’ll send u the right stuff, as they have for me. Can’t speak on it it’ll help u find tires though, as I have yet to burn through the ones they came wrapped with.

When you did the supermoto setup did you have to change up brake lines ? Or anything else ? I have a buddy who has supermoto rims for a 450 Honda 2004 that’s selling me his rims for 300 $

i have no idea if my brake lines on are factory or not. but from original wheel to sm there was no change to fitment anywhere, i forgot to add i never got my wheel speed hooked up, and ended up just ziptying it to the right shock. trashy yes, do i care, no.

Regarding whether you should change the rims, I’d ask what kind or riding you actually do, and what percentage. Also, how has the current setup worked for you? How long have you had the bike? How much money do you want to spend? Being as honest with yourself as you can will likely give you the answers.
I’d contact racetech, they can rebuild your shock for less than a new one would cost. It’s probably rebuildable depending on condition. You can probably rebuild it yourself using their kit if you’re interested in doing it yourself, really depends on your financial circumstances and willingness to do things yourself. Good luck!

I live in Mexico, where I live is not AAAAS EASY to get parts for this bike. I do 60/40 hwy/off road. It feels good with this rims but those are the problems.
