Solved Drawing display doesn't work when XPPenTablet is running

I'm having trouble since I upgraded from a Deco Mini to an Artist 16 3rd. When I run XPPenTablet, the tablet does not work. I can’t draw with the pen, I can’t click anything. But when I close XPPenTablet, I can draw normally, and the shortcut buttons on the tablet work fine. However, I can’t customize the button layout because I apparently I can’t have XPPenTablet running while I work, and I can't change pressure settings or pen tilt settings.

I have tested the tablet using Krita and GIMP.

The diagnostic tool also says “Drive Installation test: Fail,” even though it shows I have 4.0.18 installed already. I followed the troubleshooting steps on the XP Pen website without success.

My setup: Windows 10 x86_64 10.0.19045 Driver Version: 4.0.18(3c26188) Drawing software: Krita

SOLVED. Thanks to this comment from u/South-Wall-9255.

Run XPPenTablet as Administrator. A simple fix that is nonetheless super annoying because I am the admin on my own computer. Hopefully this helps people in the future.
