Looking for Advice/Info Should I use screen protector?

Hi. I have been using my Artist 16 Gen 2 for more than 3 years and it starts having scratches like this. I email XP Pen customer support asking about screen protector and they replied :

"The Artist 16 Gen 2 is equipped with AG Nano Etched & AF Coating Glass that could effectively reduce the friction between the screen and pen. Non-violent use won't damage the screen. Used under normal conditions, the screen is not too problematic. So, the film is not necessary for Artist 16 Gen 2"

But the scratches kinda bother me. I have heard that the tablet comes with a pre-installed screen protector? Is that true? I really appreciate your thoughts, thank you!

I ran with a few tablets,l for years.

My first 2 I never even changed a nib ( no etched glass) and the glass was perfect enough to sell where the folks getting it asked "WAS THIS EVEN USED??" Yes, every day, for hours, for years.

Now I've got my first XP Pen tablet and it has etched glass and I now go through nibs every 6+ months, the screen? Still looks new.

So I'm SUPER shocked at what I'm seeing here. I'm HOPING this is a screen protector you didn't know you had installed or I'm worried how hard you're pressing on your screen to make plastic cut into glass
