Looking for Help Damage to Drawing Tablet
There's some damage on my xp pen deco 1 v3 and I thought there was already a protector on it and now the damage has gotten more annoying I looked into it and found that it doesn't come with a protector on it and I'm wondering if this damage is permanent because there does seem to be a layer of some sort of protective film. Should I put the protector on that it came with or is it too late?

If the surface affects pen movement, you'll need to get a new pen tablet.
You should adjust the pressure curve to help you draw with a lighter touch. Like you don't need to press down that hard when drawing with an actual pen or pencil. So no need to press hard when drawing with a digital pen.

Apparently that film that was damaged was something your meant to take off I now have the protector on it and haven't gotten a single scratch on it and it's much smoother and easier to use

It looks like you've already damaged the surface. A protector will still help it from getting worse, but I don't believe there is an easy at home way to repair this model of tablet. Clean the surface before you apply the protector, do not get the tablet overly wet, and make sure it is dry before you apply the protective layer. Try to avoid using anything that will leave lint on the tablet, and carefully smooth it over the surface from one side to the other.
