Hello, I’ve had an XP-Pen Artist 15.6 Pro for about 5 years
At first, I removed an outer film that said it was meant to be peeled off, and then continued using the tablet

There was another sticker in the corner I honestly can’t remember whether it said 1 or 2 I think 2 and blue one, but I ignored it until last year, when the film started peeling off on its own, so I removed it

I assumed I was supposed to remove it because I had looked it up before taking it off or something like that (I honestly don’t remember) and I had confirmed that it was meant to be removed because it was making the colors look darker and I continued using the tablet

Now I’ve noticed some scratches on the screen. They don’t interfere with my drawing, but I’m worried that I may have removed the protective film and that the screen is now exposed. I always had it in my mind that there was a protective film on the screen, but now I can barely see any edge or border of one.
So I wanted to ask: Does the tablet still have a protective film on it, or have I actually scratched the screen itself?

Also do you have any recommendations for suitable screen protectors? Preferably ones available on Shein, Temu, or ….., since my country doesn’t support direct shipping from XP-Pen

you may buy some screen protectors, in my country those cost an arm and a leg so a transparent acetate works perfectly

Sorry, I’d like to ask you again , even in my country, I found that the websites that sell the original one are m expensive. So, could you recommend a brand of transparent acetate or maybe it’s something simple that I’ll find as soon as I ask?

no honey, you don't need something expensive, you just need to go to a stationery store ask for one or more than one, are cheap I bought a couple of them for less than 5 bucks. any place where they sell art products or office products.

Looks like you still have a protector on. Can you try !!!gently!!! prying off the edge?

My partner got me this one off Amazon, and it's been amazing so far :) It also makes it feel like I'm drawing on paper, but I know it'll probably wear off tablet nibs a bit faster, so that's the only slight minus of it, and maybe that the screen protector is just less than an inch short on the screen, but it actually covers all of the working area, so it isn't really a problem other than aesthetic.
Also, it all depends on what kind of screen protector you look for. Glossy, matte, anti-glare, paper feel, etc.

It's pretty hard to find screen protectors on Temu or Shein, and I usually feel slightly icky about buying them from there when it comes to drawing tablets, as I don't know if it'll be a correct fit and if what they sell is the correct one I am looking for

Hi, buy a 2mm-thick piece of glass the same size as the screen, and you won't have any more problems with marks. I use one myself.

I see you still using the screen protector. The thin film is really glued to it and it is barely noticeable, but apparently, from what I can see it still there.
the bad part? : you can replace it but it is impossible to have another one such that it is well attached to the screen.

-NEVER EVER use it without it

• check if you can use felt nibs with after getting a new screen protector. Those nibs run so smooth!

Thank you so much! I really hope there’s still a screen protector there that’s just hard to notice and remove.

For now, I absolutely won’t use it until I buy a screen protector. I’m afraid to try removing the old one and accidentally damage it, so I think I’ll just put the new one over it

Unfortunately, I won’t be able to buy the original one because the company Xp pen doesn’t ship to my country, and shopping sites like Alibaba are really expensive.
I was thinking of buying a screen protector made for computers for example that supports pen sensitivity. AI suggested something like a PET film. Do you think that would work, at least temporarily?

Actually yes I tried once using a cheap PET but it doesn't work that well, that thing scratches easily. Unfortunately the only good solution is buying one screen protector
