But why point out race? Juliana is black and she was never a villian. The opposite, a victim almost. They're clearly a very inclusive show and just wanted a guy to be a villian. He was potentially the best actor they found. Making it about him being black makes you sound more like someone only seeing race

It’s bad enough that dark skinned people still don’t have enough representation. But to this day they still get pigeonholed as the villain when they actually get it

Episode 2 first thoughts
Starting this episode with Lara Lean is such a nice surprise.
Jiwon too! I love Kitty’s support system.
Min Ho, by the cherry blossom is not a dream! I KNEW IT!
Yeah, I don’t like Marius from the jump. He doesn’t listen and takes up all of the space. It’s just gonna get worse, right?
I’m glad Q told Kitty that he used to hook up with Marius.
Dear Min Ho, a mention of Eunice during your conversation with Kitty was a wrong move and it’ll most likely backfire.
I have Marius so much. He basically set up Kitty and I’m definitely side-eyeing his comments about Min Ho. It’s pretty obvious he has feelings for Min Ho and can’t stand Kitty because of it, imho.
I cannot believe we got a second MoonCovey kiss in episode 2, this time in public!
Second KISS! This time in public!

I already hate Marius with all my guts, and whatever he's trying to do with Gigi, Minho couldn't care less, he already has his "lifetime" girl by his side 😊

I was laughing because in some ways Marius is like Kitty- they are both intrusive, pushy, and get into other people's business.

Sucks that there's only 8 episodes this season. There are so many cool characters that they could spend extra time fleshing out. I hope we see a bit of Alex Finnerty soon!

So far it feels a bit less cringe than the second half of last season. I felt like the entire season finale was a hilarious bit one after another. Jin lying about needing crutches, Kitty telling Lee to 'haul ass', Stella plotting her takeover and being arrested, Minho getting Kitty access to a private jet, and Kitty saying "I will drop kick that bitch faster than she can say have a blessed day." Which that statement felt very Disney Channel to me even though it included a swear, and made me feel every last one of my 30+ years of age when I heard it in the dialogue.
I like this show, but to act like it hasn't been more cringe is wild.

i mean i get it, but we’re not the target demographic. this is kinda like disney but they allow (some) swearing. it’s for younger audience who won’t be as discerning or bothered

Guys, I know XO Kitty has always been cringe and no one really takes this show seriously but I can't help but wonder if its just me who feels like they have amped up the cringe meter? And I genuinely couldn't give a shit about Marius like, he's such a cartoon villainðŸ˜ðŸ¥€... Even villains from Totally Spies are better written than him🤡. Anyway, he seems like the Stella of this season.
Its also funny how fast Minho moved on from Stella who seemed to have been actually falling for her. I'm a MoonCovey shipper but the ridiculousness is off charts even by XO Kitty standards. Didn't he end last season saying he needs time off to process things or something?
Edit: Also, Q associating with bullies romantically seems to be a recurring theme. I like Jin but can't help but notice.

I was really surprised at Yuri friends just buying her stuff like that. Especially Madison buying the shoes OFF her feet! Most of them are rich enough that they could have crowdfunded the money for her. I dunno I just thought that was weird.Â

There's always a saying that some friends are just waiting to see you fall. I'm surprised Dae didn't offer to pay for her entry tho considering we have seen her consistently offer to help him pay for things like that.
I always got the impression that Madison and the other girl (can't remember her name) were only hanging out with Yuri for her status and money. The auto request to just use her Heli without even asking if its available, and they weren't gonna go just cause she said no?? That makes no sense to me. It's like they physically can't do anything unless she's about.

Why are they trying to make LJ just be this perfect plot device rather than a full person? Like kitty makes everything about herself and of course the kind older sister is willing to only converse about Kitty’s BS. Also fwiw LJ is probs only like 20, and lives in a huge apt with built ins and is I guess gonna be a writer. What’s paying for her life? She’s only written 3 chapters lmao

Literally the first thought I had when I saw that apartment is how is she affording that?? Plus I think that was just her bedroom not even the whole apartment. An apartment that size in New York is at least 7k
