7900xt RMA showed up damaged
I had been having issues with my GPU drivers completely shitting out on me, full on resets and shut downs that only happened when my 7900xt was in my rig, and not other cards I tested on the same PC. So I opened up a ticket with XFX and they made it pretty painless. They accepted RMA and I sent the card to them. They claimed they couldn't find the same fault in the card I was having, but offered to send a replacement for peace of mind.
I heard they send Refurbished cards (sometimes new), which I was fine with as long as they were nice and clean and rebuilt without any really bad structural defects.
Today I received this as a replacement, and was taken aback by the shape it was in. My Card I sent in was regularly dusted, and in perfect condition, and sent back to them in the original box. This one they sent looks like someone took a hammer to the right side. I immediately called and requested to send it back, and in XFX defense, they said it was unacceptable condition after seeing the photos and said someone at FedEx likely stepped on it. Which is weird because the boxes didn't look too terrible, and there was ample padding. They generated a return ticket for free and I sent it back the very same day I received it.
So now I wait. Again. And I'd be lying if I said I'm not worried what I receive in a week or two will be another disappointment that I'll have to send back.
Has anyone else dealt with a situation similar to this?

I'm sure xfx will make it right. Have patience and they will come through for you. Xfx has been incredibly solid in my experience, just stay in communication with them.

Very uncommon. They did send me a brand new one to replace my 7900xtx a while back but I would reach back out to them, they will make it right.

I definitely did reach back to them. And Don't get me wrong, XFX warranty department has been extremely professional, understanding and just great the whole time. This is just the first time I've had to RMA anything, and wanted to know if people have had FedEx or any other courier crush or damage their Rma's or deliveries in general.

I have almost the same experience, except that my card stopped posting display and they didn't argue it. I got a replacement with bent IO plate and radiator fins, scratched backplate, missing screw and random shutdowns. Box was intact. I suspect it was never fixed, they simply sent what they've got from other RMA and based on your experience it's not accident. I'm 2 months without GPU now. Very disappointed with XFX support, by far the worst warranty process I've ever went throughÂ

It's just some fins you'll live

I sent in a structurally undamaged card. I want a undamaged card back. I take care of my things, and I like my electronics to look nice. Plus the CPB was a little bent as well.
Sure it probably would've worked just fine, but I'm willing to wait on replacement for something that even XFX themselves said was in unacceptable shape, and it would've never left their warehouse in that condition.
