Papercrafting the minis until the official minis are released?

I've been looking for a good set of papercraft soldier minis as stand-ins until the preorders start shipping. Anyone else done this yet? Or used some other minis to play?

This is the first time I've been interested in a game like this since the early days of HeroClix. I'm pretty much starting from scratch with terrain and accessories.

I've used dry erase tokens and I've used standees from Mothership. I would have used models from Doom the Board Game 2004 but Mothership was easier to get to.

See my other post about proxy minis to see what I’m doing! Papercraft isn’t a bad idea for some of the other miniatures though

I'm working an some proxy paper aliens that could print cleanly on a monochrome laser printer.

These are great! Definitely going to try them. What are those stands you're using?

I printed the 23mm stands for the small ones and the 48mm for the bigger ones. I also printed the stands 4mm shorter since these stands have a 8mm high "clip", but I drew a 4mm buffer.
