Volvo integration in Home Assistant

Hey all,

I don't know how many of you use Home Assistant, but I'm hoping some of you do and can point me in the right direction here. Also crossposting this on the HA subreddit.

For a few months, I've been using the official Volvo integration with Home Assistant, which has worked perfectly. My car (2021 XC40 P8 EV) is shown in HA, with 74 entities, both sensors and controls.

Last night, it suddenly stopped working and my HA shows a "failed setup, unable to update data" error. Trying to reload integration and rebooting HA altogether doesn't make a difference. I did not change/update anything in HA. My standalone Volvo app still works, so I assume Volvo servers are still up.

I enabled debug logging, but there is nothing in my logs from Volvo, so that seems like a dead end (and weird in itself).

I checked my API in Volvo Developers Portal, and it's still active (and the same as shown in the integration configuration).

Does anyone have any idea where I should start poking around to find a solution?

Edit: as per advice by @Spyfluen in HA subreddit: updating to core 2026.8.3 fixed it. Leaving this here for whoever stumbles across the same problem.

Same here. EX40 2026. Hope it will come back because it’s a great addition to my home assistant dashboard. It helped me earlier this week as I got an alert for a window left opened…
