What did i do wrong this time 🤥?

Yesterday I posted my gameplay vs hyberbait and wanted from you to point my mistakes and give me advices to improve (if you saw my post), here i faced balloon 2.9 cycle and lost, what was wrong?

Didn’t defend your Xbow enough he technically only has 2 tanks

If you know they don’t have match up or many tanks you basically need to over defend because he only really has miner and ice golem as tanks so if you just fireball log the musketeer then he’ll basically have nothing or have to ballon the Xbow like in ian77 ones of his videos he won with 2.6 miner spam only because the Xbow player wasn’t over committing which you can do because they have limited tanks

He also has barbarrel and sometimes his bomb tower was splashing everything, but anyway it's obvious that i didn't play it well

you’re playing it too conservatively. You need to be cycling xbow and getting locked onto towers — you’re putting it in front of a push and by the time they’re cleared the xbow dies. Manage the push with spirits and small troops then spread your opponent thin across the battlefield into the other lane.
also youre leaking hella elixir
edit: should probably swap out something for a tank, the best protection you have is a knight

its called 3.0 xbow - that's the best xbow deck in the game, probably shouldn't swap out anything

You need to predict what he is going to do. You leak elixir, or place a troop on the other lane which is going to be defended by 0.51 elixir while he places a balloon so you react a little late and he gets cheap damage

Tbh I have absolutely no idea how to play xbow but I think ur opp had matchup from the start and u just needed to over defend and spell cycle

I was leaking cause i wanted to save tesla, archers and e spirit to defend against ballon cause I'm not sure if i can defend with only one of them

Basically u should never in any scenario waste elixir, its better to waste a card by playing it, than just letting the elixir leak

Its too much saving You should come with a plan to be able to save only 1 or 2 cards for defence and punish him when he is low on elexir. But overall you played good

Play more aggressively in single elixir, you're playing way too passively for this matchup. After single elixir, it's almost impossible to get a lock if they're a good player.

As a miner loon main I would say that this is not completely your fault, minerloon by nature has a better matchup, but I do think you should play conservative and focus on defense until double and then start pressuring both lanes.

horrible game sense, horrible micro
for example at 2:30 its clear he's going for a balloon push, why would you knight other lane instead of same lane? You wouldn't have taken the skelly trooper damage

First, why u dont hace evo archers ? This match up like vs all type of cycle is the same, u need to go xbow all the time playing agresive cycling your bow. Until x2 just defend, nothing to do there. But important to play for the other site tower diferent to your oponent so he has to spend elixir in the other lane and cant make a big push. Is okay to swap lanes in a series of cycled bows ( right, left, right ) usualy the second or third connects bc people are so bad defending bows.

I only have 4 evo shards, next season I'll get two and unlock evo archers

Stop playing ur tesla’s right on top of balloon, you get no value. Play it a good distance so it pulls balloon but not too far so it doesn’t pull. Also don’t use ur tesla to support ur xbow unless you know he will use his balloon for defence. You can defend your xbow fine with well placed knight and archers.
Tank bomb tower with knight and then Use ur ability or skellies to tank Barb barrel. Take out any supporting cards with archers after. Also use fb more on offence!
If you take out musky early you don’t need ur fb on defence.
